Alex Zobel
Jazz Pianist and singer

Alex Zobel (born 2001) is a German-Ecuadorian pianist with roots in the Latin American music scene and a current focus on modern jazz. He gained his first experiences in bands and studios in Ecuador – including the new wave project Aurora Etérea, with whom he recorded the album Ciclos.

As a pianist shaped by salsa, cumbia, and the richness of tropical orchestral music, Alex developed a stylistic openness early on. After four semesters of composition studies in Quito, he moved to Germany, where he has since established himself in the local jazz scene.

Today, he is a regular presence at open jam sessions (including at Bunker Ulmenwall) and performs solo as a „piano man“ with vocals and keys. He contributes to various projects that blend groove, improvisation, and musical experimentation.

Blerta Dermaku
Classical Guitarist

Blerta Dermaku (born 1998) is a German-Albanian guitarist with roots in classical music and a growing passion for jazz, pop, and Latin American sounds. She began playing classical concert guitar at the age of seven, trained at the Löhne Music School by Susanne and Andreas Scheinhütte.

As a member of the Löhne Guitar Quartet and the Bielefeld Guitar Ensemble, she gained early stage experience and received multiple awards, including 1st prize at the 2016 German Orchestra Competition in Ulm. Concert tours have taken her to Portugal and Austria.

Today, her repertoire ranges from classical works to jazz improvisations and pop-rock pieces on the electric guitar. Blerta holds a B.Sc. in Psychology from LMU Munich, combining analytical thinking with musical sensitivity – a compelling mix that shapes her expressive artistic voice.
